MapPrint+ legal terms

Terms of Use

Review the terms governing approved access to and use of MapPrint+.

Effective Date: August 29, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of MapPrint+, including the MapPrint+ application at app.mapprintplus.com and related services (collectively, “MapPrint+”). MapPrint+ is operated by Jido Geospatial (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accepting an invitation, creating or using an approved MapPrint+ account, or otherwise using MapPrint+, you agree to these Terms. If you are using MapPrint+ on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to use the service on that organization’s behalf.

1. Beta Service

MapPrint+ is currently offered as a limited, invite-only beta.

Beta software is still being tested and may contain errors, incomplete features, performance issues, or other defects. Features may be added, changed, limited, suspended, or removed during the beta period.

We may modify the beta program, limit participation, suspend access, or end the beta at any time.

Participation in the beta does not guarantee future access, pricing, features, service levels, or availability.

2. What MapPrint+ Is

MapPrint+ is a print-focused map-layout tool designed to help users turn existing web GIS content into polished map exhibits.

MapPrint+ is intended to complement GIS software, not replace it.

MapPrint+ does not replace GIS software or professional workflows for:

  • data creation or maintenance;
  • GIS editing;
  • spatial analysis;
  • geoprocessing;
  • database administration;
  • surveying;
  • authoritative boundary determination; or
  • maintenance of source GIS datasets.

Your existing GIS, ArcGIS organization, or other source system remains the source of the geographic content you choose to use.

3. Eligibility and Account Access

MapPrint+ may only be used by individuals whose access has been approved.

Submitting a beta-access request does not automatically create an account or guarantee approval.

You must provide accurate account information and use the email address associated with your approved MapPrint+ account.

You may not:

  • share your account with unauthorized individuals;
  • allow another person to impersonate you;
  • circumvent account or access restrictions; or
  • attempt to gain access to another user’s account or organization.

You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for maintaining reasonable security over the email account and devices used to access MapPrint+.

4. ArcGIS and Third-Party Services

MapPrint+ may allow you to use content from ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, or other supported web GIS services.

MapPrint+ account authentication is separate from ArcGIS authentication. Protected ArcGIS content may require you to authenticate directly with your ArcGIS organization.

Your use of ArcGIS, Esri services, and other third-party services remains subject to the applicable terms, licenses, permissions, and privacy practices of those providers and your organization.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to access and use any GIS content, services, maps, layers, imagery, basemaps, or other information you load into MapPrint+.

MapPrint+ does not grant you additional rights to third-party content.

5. Your GIS Content and Map Outputs

You retain any rights you have in the GIS content, project information, and other materials you provide or access through MapPrint+.

MapPrint+ does not claim ownership of your source GIS data merely because you use it with the application.

You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any map produced using MapPrint+ before distributing, publishing, printing, or relying on it.

MapPrint+ does not independently verify:

  • source-data accuracy;
  • geographic accuracy;
  • completeness;
  • currency;
  • scale appropriateness;
  • legal boundaries;
  • attribution requirements; or
  • fitness of a map for a particular purpose.

A map generated with MapPrint+ is only as reliable as the source information and decisions used to create it.

6. Professional and High-Consequence Uses

MapPrint+ is a map-layout and presentation tool.

You should independently verify maps before using them for regulatory, engineering, legal, emergency-response, property, surveying, safety-critical, or other high-consequence purposes.

MapPrint+ should not be treated as an authoritative substitute for source records, professional judgment, legal documents, surveys, engineering analysis, or emergency-response systems.

7. Acceptable Use

You may use MapPrint+ only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You may not use MapPrint+ to:

  • access GIS content without authorization;
  • violate intellectual-property, privacy, confidentiality, or contractual rights;
  • upload or distribute malicious code;
  • interfere with the security or operation of MapPrint+;
  • probe, scan, or test the service for vulnerabilities without written authorization;
  • defeat access controls or usage restrictions;
  • use automated systems in a manner that creates unreasonable load on the service;
  • falsely represent affiliation with another person or organization; or
  • use MapPrint+ in violation of applicable law.

We may restrict or terminate access when we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated or the service is being misused.

8. Sensitive Information

Do not submit passwords, authentication tokens, Social Security numbers, payment-card information, protected health information, or other highly sensitive personal information through MapPrint+ forms or support communications.

If you use confidential, protected, or sensitive GIS information with MapPrint+, you are responsible for determining whether that use complies with your organization’s security, privacy, records-management, contractual, and information-governance requirements.

9. Saved Projects and Browser Storage

MapPrint+ may use browser storage or other application storage to support functions such as saved drafts, preferences, recent maps, and project information.

You are responsible for maintaining appropriate copies of important project information.

During the beta, you should not rely on MapPrint+ as the sole repository or backup location for important maps, layouts, or project information.

Beta updates, browser settings, account changes, or technical failures may affect locally stored information.

10. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in the MapPrint+ Privacy Policy, available at:

By using MapPrint+, you acknowledge the practices described in that policy.

11. Feedback

Beta participants may provide suggestions, bug reports, comments, feature requests, or other feedback about MapPrint+.

You retain ownership of any underlying ideas or materials you already own, but you grant us permission to use feedback you voluntarily provide to evaluate, improve, develop, and operate MapPrint+ without an obligation to compensate you.

Please do not submit confidential information as product feedback unless we have separately agreed to receive it as confidential.

12. Intellectual Property

MapPrint+, including its software, user interface, branding, website design, documentation, and original materials, is owned by Jido Geospatial or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Except for the limited right to use MapPrint+ under these Terms, no ownership rights in MapPrint+ are transferred to you.

You may not copy, sell, sublicense, redistribute, or create unauthorized derivative products from MapPrint+ except as permitted by law or with our written permission.

These Terms do not restrict your ownership or permitted use of your own GIS data or map outputs.

13. Beta Fees

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, participation in the current invite-only beta may be offered without charge.

We may introduce paid plans, subscriptions, organization licenses, usage limits, or other pricing in the future.

We will provide information about applicable pricing and additional commercial terms before charging you for continued use.

Participation in the beta does not guarantee free access after the beta ends.

14. Availability and Changes

We do not guarantee that MapPrint+ will always be available or operate without interruption.

During the beta, we may perform maintenance, change infrastructure, modify supported content types, change functionality, or temporarily suspend portions of the service.

We may discontinue the beta or individual beta access at any time.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MAPPRINT+ AND THE BETA SERVICE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do not warrant that MapPrint+ will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, complete, accurate, or suitable for every mapping workflow.

We make no warranty regarding the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or suitability of third-party GIS data or services accessed through MapPrint+.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

16. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JIDO GEOSPATIAL AND MAPPRINT+ WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, BUSINESS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE BETA SERVICE.

MapPrint+ is a beta product, and you are responsible for independently reviewing map outputs and maintaining appropriate copies of important information.

Applicable law may not permit certain liability limitations, in which case those limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law.

17. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using MapPrint+ at any time.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access if:

  • you violate these Terms;
  • your beta period expires;
  • your participation in the beta ends;
  • continued access creates a security or operational risk;
  • your organization requests removal;
  • the beta program changes or ends; or
  • we are required to do so by law.

When access ends, some locally stored information may remain on your device until you clear it.

Personal information retained by us is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable retention practices.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as MapPrint+ develops.

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice to active beta users.

Continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law.

19. Governing Law and Disputes

For the beta, any dispute should first be raised by contacting us at support@mapprintplus.com so that we can attempt to resolve the issue informally.
